He was the first Black president of the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA), co-founder and inaugural Council member of the South African Facilities Management Association (SAFMA) and co-founder of the South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners (SAIBPP). He is an expert with more than 40 years experience in the in the property industry, and more than 30 years’ experience of serving on boards of directors. During his career he got involved in all spheres of the property practice when he worked for both private and public sector organisations. In the private sector, he worked for property development divisions of BP(SA), BMW(SA), and McDonalds. He also worked for public sector organisations such as Lebowa Development Corporation (LDC) where he was responsible for privatisation of the cooperation’s properties and later for Eskom as a Facilities Manager of Megawatt Park head office before assuming the roles of MD/CEO of 3 parastatal organisations, respectively, being Denel Property Group, Intersite Property Management Services (PRASA Subsidiary), and Supplier Park Development Company.(Blue IQ Subsidiary)
He has B. Com (Turfloop), B. Com Honours (UNISA), Graduate Advancement Programme (Wits), Property Development Programme (UCT) and Estate Agency qualifications. He became a Certified Facility Manager in 2004 through the IFMA-USA process.
